Electric Sceptic?
April 2012 was my first and last post. Whoops, that's a bit pathetic really. Time to resurrect the blog and get right up to date, staying completely on theme. Tech & Cars!!
Tomorrow I'll be popping along to a VIP test drive event at BMW's Park Lane showroom to test their new electric supermini, the BMW i3. Why? Simples, because I've been invited and it would be rude to say no.....
Ok that's not the only reason. The full story is that I posted a tweet after reading one of the launch road tests for the i3 simply stating that its 100 mile range on a £2 recharge had got my attention. Apparently this in-turn got BMW's attention and put me on their radar as a potential sceptic who needs convincing on the merits and abilities of BMW's new wunderkid.
So tomorrow morning I'll travel to Park Lane in the style that most city commuters are accustomed to (packed, sweaty trains) and try out their vision of the future in it's natural habitat. Those in the know will noticed the new and very relevant background I've just added too. Another electric car in the city of London, albeit just a tad different to the i3.
So come back tomorrow and see what I think. I was considering posting my pre-conceptions first before the test but I'll save that for the piece I'll write tomorrow.
